HAPPY NEW YEAR
HOME CHURCH INTERNATIONAL
Greetings from Home Church International to all our friends around the world. We are
praying for you that this New Year 2018 will be your best year yet for reaching out to
those who do not have a personal relationship with our Savior. This is our goal in this New
Year to further the Kingdom of God in our realm of influence. May God help us all as we give
ourselves over totally to the Lord working through us. Philippians 2:13
Our first celebration of the New Year was a party called Three Kings Day in English held
here at our home in Lake Chapala, Mexico. This day is celebrated more than Christmas
in some Latin American countries as well as Spain and Germany. We had the customary
tamales and sweet bread called “Rosca”. Ken Beyer got the Baby Jesus in his piece of Rosca;
thereby earning the right to treat us all to tamales on February 3rd! It was a fun celebration with Pastor Paul giving a history of the day called in Mexico, “Dia de Los Reyes Magos”.
In Panama they enjoyed a gift exchange at their Christmas party. Their Pastor, Linda Cruz,
sent us some photos, shown below.
Pastor Rogelio in the Philippines tells us he has yet another mission village called Las Nieves
and asks for prayer as they minister there. A photo below shows a recent baptism in the
lake. Included is his son, Renzie Joshua. Johnny Rodriguez, in yellow shirt, has been per-
secuted for his newly found faith in Christ. However, he boldly assists Pastor Rogelio. Praise
God for his faithfulness.
Bless you, dear friends. We love you and pray for you daily.
